Change is Good

11:20 hrs.
12 Aug 14

Some say that Change for Change's sake is good.
To this end the Canadian military had contracted a lady, who's biggest claim to fame was that she had been an assistant to US Senator Sam Nunn (as if that was supposed to impress me or anyone else in the Canadian military), to lead us through a Change Seminar.

     What a load of shyte!

Change does give a person the opportunity to look at things, be it a process, a method or even a direction, in a whole new light. By all means do things differently as long as it does not compromise safety and security.

Take a different route to work or dip your home fries in mayo vice ketchup. It's all good. It also prevents a person from getting in a rut.

     Complacency Kills!

How many times have you heard: "We've always done it this way and that's the way we'll always do it!"

Oh yeah! Well at the WAYWARD INN we shake things up by having Anything Goes days. It allows everyone to kick back and cut loose. Oh, you want to have KD for breakfast?  Why the hell not!

     Complacency also creates boredom.
     Boredom leads to depression.
And if you haven't heard lately.
     Depression Kills.

On the home front, the Actor and Loin Fruit #2 have been invited out to a Soiree. A school mate of theirs has been granted her Canadian Citizenship. Congratulations. I don't know what all they will be doing but a fair number of their friends were invited to the celebration at a local hotel.

We have just finished sending off the Japanese students and we will soon be prepping for the impeding arrival of my BETTER HALF's parental units in the beginning of September. Of course, we are hoping that the two pig-headed sides of the BC Teachers strike will bridge their ongoing impasse.

Doubtful, but maybe some of them are ready for a Change.
